Jeff wall reconstruct scenes he had witnessed on the streets. This picture shows loads of composition. In this picture the man i n the orange is making a racial gesture towards the man in the shirt. It shows us that racism wasn't as important as it is today, It shows us that no ones getting in trouble for what the man is doing and no one really actually cares. Racism seems like it was normal back then because no one actually tried to stop the man from being racist. The two males are in line with each which shows the rivalry and the hatred between them. However the lady is holding hands with the man but is quite far behind him . This shows us that the lady is embarrassed and wants nothing to do with whats going on, she doesn't want to be seen with the man.

This is another Jeff Wall picture and i think that its one of his best. I like the way he has used the colours, especially the ropes at the bottom they stand out. It starts of having blue and grey at the bottom but as you move up it has brighter colours such as red and orange. The objects then stand out from the dull colours around it . It stands out from the ropes and the shelf. The rule of thirds fit perfectly in this picture. The use of triangles is good. It makes the ropes stand out and the use of the colour in the ropes is good. The green shows us how filthy the ropes are which then makes us look at the man who is seated. Then our attention goes to the man who is standing near the shelf.
